TURKEY BOWL FESTIVITIES, Saturday, November 1, 2008
This year, again, the Brebeuf Braves hockey team co-hosted the “Turkey Bowl”, a Park Tudor school-supported fund-raiser for Wheeler Mission. A special thanks to Mary Hinkebein, the Brebeuf parent who coordinated the event with Nancy Edmonds and Jena Morey from Park Tudor.
A big thank-you to the Brebeuf families who donated prizes and dollars to the charity. A total of $5668.50 in cash/checks and $750 in turkeys for a total of $6,418.50 was raised by the 2 teams.
Our own coach, Don Perkins, was the winner of the actual turkey bowling on the ice. The head coaches (Don Perkins/Brebeuf and Brandon Phillips/Park Tudor) and captains (Elliott Trosky/Brebeuf and Elliott Sweeney/Park Tudor) plus 2 player siblings participated on the ice.
